Finally found the right GDS version!

Here's the link to the version of Google Desktop Search that will work:

http://desktop.google.com/en/GoogleDesktopSetup.exe

The issue here is that the version that is downloaded from the Google Desktop for Enterprise page is the wrong version (http://desktop.google.com/enterprise/index.html), but that's the version name that is referred to in all of the Notes documentation.

The key word here is Enterprise. I don't know if the enterprise version is needed to make this work in Notes, since I "upgraded" from that to the regular version. If it's not needed, I would recommend changing the documentation to reference just "Google Desktop Search" so users don't download the Enterprise version - only to have it not work.
